About NilaMart
NilaMart is a Kerala grocery in Mount Roskill, Auckland — the shop at 458 Richardson Road, and now the same shelves online. Matta rice from Palakkad, the masalas and pickles a Kerala kitchen actually runs on, and the banana chips we fry in store ourselves.
The plan is a general store, department by department — groceries first, and the rest as each earns its shelf. One basket, one order, one counter, however many departments it grows.

nilamart.co.nz opens with the Kerala pantry — local delivery, Click & Collect from the bays behind the shop, and the weekly specials rotating on real shelf prices.

What's on the packet is the truth we work from. We photograph and transcribe labels, and when we don't know, we say may contain — never a guess.
